What the Porcelain Skin facial is
Porcelain Skin is our facial on the Procare XP, a device that combines several technologies used through different handpieces.
We choose the handpieces for your skin, and we'll talk you through them at your consultation.
Like any facial, it's about how your skin looks and feels. Claims that a non-surgical treatment changes your skin need good evidence, so we don't make them for this facial.
Who it’s for
Adults only
Treatment is only for adults aged 18 and over.
Often a good fit if you
- feel your skin looks dull or uneven
- would like a regular facial as part of your routine
Not suitable, or we’ll wait, if you
- have broken skin or a skin infection in the area
- have a pacemaker or another implanted electronic device
- have metal implants in the area being treated
- are pregnant
We'll go through your health at your consultation, and tell you if a different facial would suit you better.
Risks and side effects
- Common and expected
- Brief redness or warmth after treatment. What to expect depends on the handpieces used, and we'll explain it at your consultation.
- Less common
- Irritation or a reaction to a product. Please tell us about any allergies or sensitive skin before your treatment.
- Your skin tone
- At your consultation we'll ask about your skin's history, including any dark or light patches after past treatments, and take it into account.

Your skin is cleansed, then treated with the Procare XP handpieces chosen for your skin. We'll talk you through the steps at your consultation.
How many sessions will I need?
You can have a single facial, or a package of 8 sessions. We'll suggest how often to come at your consultation.
Is there any downtime?
We'll tell you what to expect at your consultation.
Who can't have it?
Anyone with a pacemaker or another implanted electronic device, metal implants in the area, broken or infected skin, or who is pregnant. We check your health at your consultation.
